Rainbow Vacuum Cleaner Troubleshooting

Rainbow vacuum cleaners utilize a water-based filter to eliminate airborne dust when vacuuming. The appliance maintains the dirt wet, so it can’t fly around. The concept is similar to having water trucks moisten road work activity to keep the dust down. Some problems with the Rainbow vacuum cleaner can include the machine not running, a lack of air flow, mustiness and dust being discharged into the air.

Instructions:

1. Turn the Rainbow vacuum cleaner off for a few seconds, then turn it back on again if the machine won’t run, as the motor protection circuit may have tripped.
2. Clean the HEPA neutralizer filter if you experience a loss of airflow. Remove the panel from the back of the appliance by pressing up on the two latches. Remove the HEPA filter and rinse it in the sink through the oval hole. Run the water for about a minute after water fills the neutralizer. Drain the neutralizer by turning it over. Try this a few times.
3. Check that the water basin has latched onto the machine if the Rainbow won't run. Place the power unit over the basin so that the air intake opening on the basin is aligned with the air intake opening on the power unit, and close the latches.
